Responsibilities

Teach ENGR 102/103 and ENGR 20 courses as part of the Peter Kiewit Foundation Engineering Academy curriculum on the Omaha campus
Develop and execute monthly professional development workshops for students, tailored to each cohort’s needs in their academic progress, including networking receptions, career panels, mock interviews, and site visits
Provide students with success coaching at the Omaha campus
Maintain student internship data, co-op, and employment outcomes to inform reports and continuous improvement efforts
Manage current scholar communication and expectations for events and engagement
Develop service-learning opportunities for students
Manage student financial scholarship awarding
Use assessment data to identify gaps, measure progress toward program goals, and recommend enhancements to career-related initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, education, social sciences, student affairs, or related field plus three (3) years of experience in student development, career services, or employer relations
Demonstrated experience working with students in a 1:1 setting and presenting to diverse groups
Experience facilitating workshops or teaching professional development topics
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain multifaceted partnerships
Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to function in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Must be able to travel between Omaha and Lincoln campuses

Preferred

Master's degree in engineering, business, education, social sciences, student affairs, or related field
Experience working in engineering, STEM, or technical education environments
Experience with management systems, data tracking, and assessment tools (e.g., Handshake, SSH, Tableau, Excel)
Experience supporting students through complex personal or academic challenges
Experience teaching at the University level helpful
Knowledge of scholarship-based or cohort programs supporting underrepresented student populations
Knowledge of theory/application of coaching others helpful
