The role focuses on operating and automating AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure, improving CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring compliance within regulated environments.

Responsibilities

Own day-to-day operations and reliability of an AWS-based, Kubernetes-driven platform

Monitor system health, respond to incidents, and triage production issues

Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to support safe and repeatable releases

Develop and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation)

Support Kubernetes cluster operations including deployments, monitoring, and performance troubleshooting

Implement automation to reduce manual work and improve platform reliability

Perform software patching and platform upgrades

Improve developer experience by streamlining tooling, workflows, and deployment processes

Operate within security and compliance requirements (FedRAMP, PCI, SOC2)

Collaborate through code reviews, documentation, and controlled deployments

Required

4+ years of experience as a site reliability engineer

Hands-on experience with AWS in a cloud-native environment (VPC, EC2, IAM fundamentals)

Experience administering and supporting Kubernetes (EKS or equivalent)

Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)

Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation)

Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming fundamentals (classes, constructors, inheritance)

Experience automating workflows using Python, TypeScript, or Bash

Experience supporting production systems and responding to incidents

Familiarity with security and compliance requirements in regulated environments

Strong written communication skills and ability to work independently

U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required

Preferred

Experience with AWS CDK and TypeScript

GitHub Actions experience

Experience with AWS logging and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, OpenSearch)

Experience with AWS security services (GuardDuty, Macie, Inspector, Detective)

Experience operating in FedRAMP, PCI, SOC2, or government-regulated environments

Experience using AI tooling to accelerate or streamline engineering tasks
