Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst III
The California Public Utilities Commission is seeking a Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst III to join its Customer Programs team. The role involves conducting economic, financial, and policy research related to distributed energy resources, with a focus on renewable generation and demand response, while advocating for the interests of California ratepayers.

Responsibilities
Independently conduct economic, financial, and policy research and analysis related to distributed energy resources (DERs), with an emphasis on renewable generation and demand response
Take a lead role in research and analysis as well as write reports, testimony, and other advocacy materials and make recommendations to senior staff and management
Represent ratepayer interests in workshops, working groups, industry and stakeholder meetings, legislative hearings, or in other agency forums
Qualification
Required
Eligibility for the classification
Experience in designing research, collecting data, conducting analysis using Excel or other computer-based quantitative tools, and making practical recommendations
Experience writing and presenting reports that include findings, conclusions and recommendations
Experience in establishing and maintaining cooperative and positive working relationships with others on internal and external teams

Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 (when not applying electronically), or the Electronic State Employment Application through your Applicant Account at www.CalCareers.ca.gov

Statement of Qualifications - A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required
If using education to meet the minimum qualifications, a copy of your transcript or diploma must be submitted
An official transcript will be required prior to appointment
Verification of United States course/degree equivalency must be obtained and submitted by the application deadline if education was completed outside the United States
Employment information on the STD 678 state application must be complete with dates, duties and responsibilities, and contact names and phone numbers of supervisors
