Junior Inside Sales Rep

The Junior Inside Sales Representative will provide inside sales support, contract review, and customer service, serving as a central hub for customer purchasing, engineering, operations, and quality teams.

Responsibilities
Support sales team in reviewing customer RFQs and coordinating with engineering, planning, purchasing, operations, and quality to develop accurate quotations
Communicate product selection support based on input from Application Engineering, considering contractual requirements, pricing, and availability
Maintain proactive communication with customers throughout the quotation, order review, and acceptance process
Review customer purchase orders, contract terms, and specifications to ensure alignment with quotations, pricing, delivery commitments, and company policies
Identify discrepancies or risks in contract language and escalate issues to management or legal resources as needed
Ensure compliance with U.S. Navy and internal documentation, quality, and reporting requirements
Track contract changes, amendments, and customer communications to maintain accurate project records
Serve as a single point of contact for customer purchasing, engineering, operations, and quality departments
Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status, documentation, technical information, and delivery schedules
Coordinate internally to resolve issues related to order accuracy, technical requirements, or production constraints
Document sales, contract, and customer service activities in CRM or other tracking systems
Maintain organized records of quotations, contract reviews, order changes, and customer correspondence
Support continuous improvement by recommending product or service enhancements based on customer feedback and engineering input
Assist with internal audits, compliance reviews, and process documentation
Support cross‑functional initiatives and other tasks assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Strong commitment to process adherence, documentation accuracy, and compliance
Solid understanding of customer service principles and ability to resolve routine and moderately complex issues
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to interpret basic contract language and identify inconsistencies
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Contract Review experience is a plus
Competent written and verbal communication skills for customer and internal interactions
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
US Citizen
Preferred
Bachelor of Science degree preferred
Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree
1–2 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, contract administration, or a technical support environment preferred
Familiarity with manufacturing concepts, engineering documentation, or industrial products is beneficial
