Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is a cultural and civic cornerstone of New York City, and they are seeking a Kenan Fellow to support the transition of fellows from conservatory training to the professional artistic community. The role involves engaging in arts education administration, teaching artistry, and supporting various educational initiatives while developing personal artistry and networking within the community.

Responsibilities
Be trained in LCEs Inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning
Learn about education departments within arts organizations
Have opportunities to practice teaching artistry in on-campus activations
Apprentice with LCPA constituent organizations in their education and outreach programming
Apprentice with LCE teaching artists in the Access Ambassadors program
Support Big Umbrella Festival, which centers audiences with autism and other developmental disabilities by sharing unique approaches to sensory-based, interactive, and intimate artistic experiences to meet audiences exactly as they are
Develop an understanding of the mission, priorities, and organizational structure of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and its constituent organizations
Build a community of artistic and civic practice with their peers and the LCPA community
Facilitated introductions to education and programming leadership at NYC arts organizations
Mentor-facilitated networking opportunities
Conceive and propose an artistic project
Engage collaborators to perform, develop materials and creative assets
Interact with production and technical to realize project
Manage and lead a rehearsal and production process
Create a marketing and outreach strategy to advance work
Qualification
Required
Graduates of UNCSA's undergraduate or graduate programs in the Schools of Dance, Drama, and Music
Demonstrated commitment and curiosity in arts education
Conversant in the pillars of LCEs work: de-colonizing arts canons, de-gendering arts pedagogy, Access, and Inclusion
Ability to engage in teaching artistry and education departments within arts organizations
Ability to conceive and propose an artistic project
Ability to engage collaborators to perform, develop materials and creative assets
Ability to interact with production and technical teams to realize projects
Ability to manage and lead a rehearsal and production process
Ability to create a marketing and outreach strategy to advance work
Availability to commit to a 29-hour per week employment from July 7, 2026 through June 30, 2027
Submission of a cover letter, resumé or curriculum vitae, an example of artistic practice, two current references, and one letter of recommendation
Benefits
A one-time reimbursement stipend for cost of relocation of $1000 will be offered.
Vacation/Hiatus times will be as follows: Two weeks off at the end of August, one and a half weeks off Winter Holiday, and all other institutional holidays.
