Desktop Support Specialist
Kelly is seeking a Tier I Technical Support Representative to provide frontline support for law enforcement customers using MSI’s video and analytics products. The role involves troubleshooting, ticket ownership, and clear communication across teams while managing a high volume of support calls.
Responsibilities
Handle 30–40 inbound/outbound support calls per day
Own and manage technical support tickets
Diagnose hardware, software, and network issues
Document issues, solutions, and workarounds
Provide outage notifications and ticket updates
Follow escalation procedures and collaborate with Tier II
Maintain Knowledge Base content
Support Regional Sales Managers with technical inquiries
Participate in after‑hours on‑call rotation
Advocate for customer needs
Qualification
Required
4–7 years total experience; minimum 2–3 years in IT Helpdesk/Application Support
Strong troubleshooting experience with hardware, software, and networking
Experience with RAID & virtual disk technologies
Experience with SQL Server (queries/updates)
Experience with Windows Server (2016/2012/2008) & Windows OS
Experience with Linux CLI (Ubuntu/CentOS preferred)
Experience with Active Directory, DNS
Experience with routers, switches, VLANs, VPN, DHCP, TCP/IP
Experience with WiFi & Internet protocols (HTTPS, SSL/TLS, certificates)
Experience with virtualization (Hyper‑V, VMware)
Experience with PowerShell scripting
Experience with writing Knowledge Base articles
High school diploma required
Preferred
IT degree preferred
Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+, MCP, MCSE, CNA, CCNA, Linux certifications
