Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting and Reporting

Responsibilities
Leading the global consolidation and preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and company policy
Executing and directing the global accounting for strategic transactions
Supporting the integration of acquired businesses within reporting requirements
Overseeing the accounting for numerous, complex accounting requirements
Providing functional expertise to global businesses
Direct the timely, accurate global consolidation of financial results and the preparation of the consolidated income statement, balance sheet, statement of cash flows and selected management reports in compliance with US GAAP and company policy
Direct and oversee global consolidation system configuration and processes to ensure reporting that aligns with external and operational reporting requirements, coordinating with IT to ensure proper system maintenance and controls
In coordination with the VP, Corporate Accounting & Reporting and Director, External Reporting & Technical Accounting, lead and direct the accurate application of US GAAP for key technical areas including, but not limited to, equity compensation plans, incentive compensation plans, shares outstanding, environmental liabilities, debt, corporate owned life insurance, captive insurance liabilities, workers compensation plans, leases, fixed assets, dividends, currency translation and joint ventures
Provide analysis and executive-level commentary to Officers on monthly and quarterly results, including analysis of cash flow performance and changes in the composition of inventory balances
Work with acquired entities to ensure timely and accurate reporting of their results in Parker’s consolidated financial statements. Serve as a key member of acquisition integration teams, aligning integration efforts with the WIN Strategy, Parker’s culture, US GAAP and Parker accounting policies
In coordination with global leadership, ensure timely and accurate accounting and reporting for strategic transactions, including divestiture carve-outs, debt offerings, compensation plan modifications and share repurchases
Guide and support global finance and accounting leadership and other global functions on US GAAP technical matters, corporate accounting policies and operational accounting procedures
Coordinate with external auditors on significant accounting matters, facilitating effective communication, timely resolution of issues and alignment on reporting conclusions
Maintain and govern the global chart of accounts, ensuring alignment with evolving global reporting and operational requirements
Ensure compliance with internal controls and data management policies within assigned areas of responsibility, fostering a strong culture of accountability
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performance team of accounting professionals, promoting collaboration, customer service and excellence in accounting and reporting
Champion initiatives to automate and simplify accounting and reporting processes, leveraging technology to enhance productivity, data quality and internal controls
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
Active CPA or CMA license is strongly preferred
A minimum of ten years of progressive accounting experience, including experience with global consolidation and technical US GAAP accounting
Strong understanding of US GAAP technical accounting principles and operational accounting practices
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a global, matrixed organization
Strong interpersonal, organizational and teamwork skills
Ability to influence and partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to drive business results and strategic initiatives
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Deep knowledge of financial systems and consolidation tools
Commitment to accuracy, quality and compliance in financial reporting
Preferred
Advanced degree (MBA or master's in accounting)
Prior experience in a large, complex, or multinational organization
Public accounting or audit experience is a plus
Experience with SAP FC, OneStream and SAP S/4HANA preferred
