Angular Front End Developer (contract)
BNY Mellon is a leading global financial services company influencing a significant portion of the world's investible assets. They are seeking a Front-End Developer to lead Angular-based development for a critical records management platform, focusing on modernization and delivering a viable product by 2026.

Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable, secure, user-facing web applications using Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, and related technologies
Support a complete overhaul of a legacy records management application, including vulnerability remediation and performance optimization
Partner with UX/UI designers, back-end developers, product managers, analysts, and QA to translate requirements into working software
Collaborate with DevOps teams to define and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab; support testing and deployment best practices
Ensure maintainable, compliant code using tools such as SonarQube and Veracode
Analyze and improve application performance, database interactions, and service integrations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
5+ years of software development experience
3+ years of hands-on Angular development experience
Strong expertise in Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, state management, CSS preprocessors, Microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs
Strong understanding of DevOps principles, unit testing frameworks, and Agile development practices
Preferred
Financial services or securities industry experience
Experience with vulnerability remediation and rebuilding applications from scratch
Familiarity with SonarQube and Veracode
