Responsibilities

Ensures confidentiality of employee, patient, and hospital information
Cross-trains in admitting/emergency room for assistance as needed
Assigns diagnosis codes based on physician orders for various patient types
Reviews and updates assigned reports in timely manner

Qualification

Typing 45-50 wpmMedical terminologyUB92 understandingOffice equipment usePatient account experience

Required

Must be able to type 45-50 wpm, use various office equipment such as CRT, phones, copier, fax machine and printer
High School Grad or Equiv

Preferred

Medical terminology
Basic understanding of UB92's and importance of hospital billing/collections process
1+ patient account experience
