Senior Electrical Engineer - Avionics Test Engineering (Onsite)

Responsibilities

Design circuit card assemblies (CCAs), test fixtures, and cables for production acceptance testing of avionics power supplies
Develop detailed design specifications and schematics to meet project needs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware designs meet performance, cost, and schedule requirements
Support the ordering and assembly of test hardware
Support hardware/software integration and debug activities
Provide technical guidance throughout the development lifecycle, including bids, design reviews, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
Maintain thorough documentation of designs, processes, and test procedures
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and RTX quality guidelines

Required

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
Experience in circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout

Preferred

Proficiency in using Siemens Xpedition for electronic design and simulation
Familiarity with the Collins PTS-200 test system
Familiarity with designing and integrating circuit cards, test fixtures, and/or cables
Experience with analog and power circuit design
Experience in designing test equipment for avionics systems or power supplies
Knowledge of production acceptance testing processes and requirements
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
