Responsibilities
Responsible for an approved vendor list (AVL) for commodity managing supplier selection, qualification and price negotiation
Manage all aspects of new supplier bring-up including database management in Agile or other ERP systems
Compile and analyze data in order to facilitate optimized sourcing and supply chain decisions
Support our OEM supplier initiatives including annual cost reductions, VMI/JIT, lead-time reductions, and favorable payment terms, among others
Help drive quarterly executive business reviews of strategic sourcing plan that defines, among other things, market and business analysis, product roadmaps, supplier capabilities and annual / quarterly strategic business objectives
Act as a liaison to the business process team in order to implement best-in-class supply chain practices
Develop a commodity technology roadmap aligning business requirements with supplier capabilities
Work closely with Engineering to influence technical design decisions to meet expectations, technical capabilities, and business objectives
Interface with Planning and Program Management to assess current and future sourcing requirements
Maintain expertise/knowledge of market trends including rigorous analysis of market drivers, cost structures, technical improvements and competitive landscape
Qualification
Required
A master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration or Management, Engineering, Engineering Management, Project Management, or a related discipline and 1 year of experience in the job offered or a program/project management or supply chain management related occupation
In the alternative, a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration or Management, Engineering, Engineering Management, Project Management, or a related discipline and 3 years of experience in the job offered or a program/project management or supply chain management related occupation
1 year of experience in managing cross-functional projects and programs with tight deadlines
1 year of experience in product or process definition, having taken a product or process from concept to execution
1 year of experience in supply chain, logistics or manufacturing for a hardware device company
1 year of experience in using AGILE
1 year of experience in design and utilization of complex systems
1 year of experience in using SQL, Excel, Access
