Integration and Systems Test Engineer Lead (ONSITE)

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technology and systems test engineer supporting the Test Director and Chief Engineer
Develop and conduct test procedures to validate military GPS-based systems
Manage System Administration for multiple network-based systems
Lead troubleshooting efforts for software, hardware, and network problems
Work with vendors in support of trouble shooting efforts
Work with Mechanical, Electrical, and Software engineers to resolve issues
Effectively communicate with leads and teammates on daily tasks to provide team status, accomplishments, issues, and help needed
Develop system and subsystem requirements for complex systems by collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to obtain necessary information for design, integration, and troubleshooting
Provide support to local customer site as needed

Required

Experience with the entire systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements definition, analysis, decomposition, systems integration, verification, and validation
Experience or knowledge on TCP/IP networking & switches/routers, electronic circuitry, and software languages (LabView, Python, C++)
Experience integrating hardware and software
Hands-on experience in fault diagnosis and resolution in shipboard systems or at customer sites
Experience with requirements management and test development (e.g., DOORS)
Onsite support at customer site as needed required
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
Active and transferable SECRET clearance is required prior to start date
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred

Experience evaluating and mitigating technical risks
Experience with the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements definition, analysis, decomposition, systems integration, verification, and validation, and Test Readiness Reviews (TRR)
Experience with reviewing technical drawings and requirements
Prior work experience giving technical briefs or presentations
Familiar with Agile concepts and the Atlassian tool suite (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
Competence in peer review processes and configuration/change management
Familiar with military systems; tactics, techniques, and procedures
Familiarity with DoD customer infrastructure and Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle; preference for US Navy requirements
