Responsibilities
Monitor construction of aviation projects to ensure full compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and quality standards
Review drawings, submittals, and construction documents; verify materials, methods, and work sequences meet requirements
Document field observations, measurements, and computations to determine acceptability of completed work and support progress payment verification
Identify nonconforming work, evaluate proposed corrective measures, and recommend acceptance or rejection
Coordinate daily with owners, contractors, and local authorities; serve as the primary on-site contact for construction-related issues
Prepare clear daily reports, maintain accurate project records, and support QA testing, surveys, and constructability reviews
Lead project meetings, guide administrative documentation, and mentor entry-level inspectors to support successful project delivery
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma required
Minimum of 5 years of related construction observation experience required
Strong understanding of construction techniques, contract documents, and industry standards with the ability to interpret client contracts
Ability to work independently on complex projects as well as collaboratively within a team; willingness to guide entry level staff
Excellent communication skills and strong mathematics skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Valid driver's license required; extensive travel may be required
Preferred
Associate's degree in Engineering Science, Construction Management, or related technical field preferred
