Responsibilities
Greeting and interacting with visitors
Answering the telephone
Managing incoming mail and email
Logging requests received for certificates, resolutions, budget appropriations, letters of support
Ordering supplies
Other general support functions
Perform general office administrative duties in support of the Senator and the District Office team
Maintain hours Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Work a flexible schedule, as needed
Qualification
Required
High School Degree required
Organized and proficient with Microsoft Office and PCs
Ability to work in a fast-paced, professional environment
Punctuality, poise, and attention to detail are required
Must maintain hours Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM in addition to working a flexible schedule, as needed
Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
Preferred
An AA or Bachelor's degree is desirable
Familiarity with legislative culture and process is preferred
Bi-lingual capability is desirable
