Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a contract with a client in Austin, TX. The role requires deep expertise in cloud-native DevOps, particularly with AWS and Kubernetes, to architect and operate modern platform environments.

Responsibilities

Architect and execute large‑scale migrations of critical services to AWS and Kubernetes‑based platforms

Design and operate production‑grade EKS environments while ensuring reliability, scalability, and security

Implement GitOps‑first deployment strategies using ArgoCD and support advanced delivery workflows with Spinnaker

Develop reusable Helm charts, standardized deployment patterns, and Python‑based automation for operational efficiency

Lead incident response, performance tuning, and root cause analysis for production systems

Partner with SRE and Security teams to define platform best practices and influence long‑term architectural roadmaps

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline

Relevant experience working across cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and large‑scale platform or migration engineering

Strong capability to design and operate AWS/Kubernetes platforms while implementing GitOps‑based deployment strategies and automation

Proven ability to support production systems, perform incident response, and drive technical decisions that influence long‑term platform architecture
