Sr. Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading large-scale construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, overseeing project teams, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring quality and safety compliance.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple complex construction projects simultaneously
Oversee all phases of construction: preconstruction, procurement, execution, commissioning, and closeout
Establish project objectives, execution plans, schedules, and staffing plans
Serve as the primary liaison between clients, design teams, consultants, and field leadership
Develop and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and cash flow
Review and approve pay applications, change orders, and cost reports
Identify cost risks and implement mitigation strategies
Ensure accurate financial reporting and profitability
Develop and maintain master project schedules
Proactively identify project risks and implement corrective actions
Resolve issues related to scope, schedule, cost, and constructability
Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Assistant PMs, and Project Engineers
Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance project culture
Review and manage owner contracts, subcontracts, and purchase agreements
Ensure compliance with contract requirements and project specifications
Oversee RFIs, submittals, and change management processes
Ensure compliance with company quality standards and safety programs
Support site safety initiatives and enforce safety policies
Address quality issues promptly and drive continuous improvement
Maintain strong client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction
Lead client meetings, progress updates, and executive reporting
Support business development efforts and repeat work opportunities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
8-12+ years of progressive construction project management experience
Proven experience managing large or complex commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and project controls
Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project)
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
Preferred
Professional certifications (PMP, CCM, LEED)
Experience mentoring and developing project teams
Strong understanding of risk management and value engineering
