Manager of Human Resources
Elmington is a privately owned real estate investment and development firm based in Nashville, TN. The Manager of Human Resources will oversee HR operations related to benefits, payroll, and compliance while serving as a strategic partner to leadership and leading a team to provide exceptional HR services.

Responsibilities
Benefits Administration: Oversee design, implementation, and administration of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and wellness initiatives. Partner with vendors to ensure competitive offerings and cost-effective solutions
401(k) and Retirement Plans: Manage company retirement plans, ensuring compliance with ERISA and other applicable regulations. Coordinate annual audits and employee education programs
Leave Administration: Direct administration of all leave programs (FMLA, ADA, PTO, etc.), ensuring compliance with federal and state laws. Develop processes for accurate tracking and reporting
Payroll Management: Hands on payroll leadership and even backup to ensure timely and accurate processing. Maintain compliance with wage and hour laws and tax regulations
HRIS Oversight: Manage HRIS systems to ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and process efficiency. Lead system upgrades and integrations as needed
Employee Relations: Serve as a resource for conflict resolution and employee relations issues. Support performance management processes and disciplinary actions
Compliance & Process Management: Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and internal controls. Prepare for and manage audits related to HR functions
Foster a positive work culture and enhance employee satisfaction through effective communication and support
Analyze HR metrics and trends to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
5+ years of progressive HR experience in a fast-paced work environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing HR operations functions as outlined
Strong experience and knowledge of benefits, payroll, leave administration, HRIS systems, employee relations, and compliance requirements
Experience managing vendor and broker relationships and negotiating contracts
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Strong legal and investigation experience, including handling EEOC cases, sexual harassment, discrimination, and personnel complaints
Proven experience working across multiple states/regions
Proficiency in assisting in developing policies and procedures, coupled with the ability to enforce accountability
Required to be present in the office four days a week – 1 day work at home
Preferred
Professional certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)
Paycor HR experience preferred, not required
