Work directly with stakeholders and engineering to build exceptional products
Partner with other teams across Amazon Shipping Product and Tech to identify and influence development of new products and services
Understand customer (external and internal) needs, define clear project plans and execute to high expectations in a fast-paced environment
Interact with stakeholders at multiple levels and in multiple locations, working with business, operations, tech and BI teams to define and deliver solutions

About 10% travel required
Start your morning analyzing overnight pickup performance and routing efficiency metrics – identifying patterns like why shippers had delayed pickups or where routes are running inefficiently
Build and refine models that optimize forecasting and routing decisions in real-time – determining which driver, vehicle, and route minimizes costs while maintaining pickup reliability when shippers schedule pickups
Collaborate with operations teams across US, UK, and EU markets – translating real-world routing challenges (like unnecessary box truck dispatches) into algorithm improvements
Drive strategic cost reduction initiatives – working to cut first-mile costs per package and reduce inefficient "infinity routes" through smarter capacity planning
Develop predictive systems that prevent operational failures – building tools to predict zero-volume days, create same-day pickup recovery options, and reduce missed pickups
Balance technical depth with business impact – moving between writing routing algorithms, presenting cost savings to leadership, and debugging specific route optimization issues across markets
