Responsibilities
Perform various GL month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, cash matching, bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare Balance Sheet and P&L flux analyses and investigate any variances
Assist in preparing internal and external financial reporting
Support audit requests and inquiries from our external auditors
Assist in creating and operationalizing new accounting policies and procedures
Assist in enhancing current business processes, systems and documentation as part of internal control efforts
Ad hoc accounting projects and requests, as needed
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of experience of private industry experience
Bachelors degree with an emphasis in Accounting
Experience in month-end close procedures and reporting, transaction matching, journal entry creation and financial statement fluctuation analysis
Experience working directly NetSuite and leading process improvements within NetSuite
Experience working with a modern finance tech stack, including systems like Ramp, Zip and Numeric
Strong understanding of US GAAP
Strong problem solving, analytical and organization skills
Strong interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills
High level of integrity, positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and desire to collaborate with others
Worked asynchronously as part of a fully-remote, distributed team
Ability to work in fast-paced, high-growth environments, without sacrificing work quality
Proficient with MS office tools, including Excel
Preferred
CPA or CPA equivalent
Experience in a high-growth SaaS environment
