Tech Operations Support Engineer

Responsibilities

Providing engineering support for software applications used across the Experience Center and Makerspace
Identifying and resolving technical issues, risks, and roadblocks to maintain system availability and stability
Supporting the setup, configuration, testing, and maintenance of hardware, software, and AV systems used in briefings, client engagements, and hands-on experiences
Performing daily operational checks, OS and firmware updates, and preventative maintenance to ensure consistent performance
Serving as a visible and approachable point of contact in the Makerspace, building relationships with visitors, volunteers, and associates while assisting with device setup and demonstrations of new tools and technologies
Managing the on-site device fleet, including cleaning, storage, charging, inventory tracking, and lifecycle support
Partnering and collaborating with FCAT engineers, AV teams, IT, and cross functional partners

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field required
Experience in Production Support and/or Technical Analysis, with the ability to resolve incidents across distributed or multi location environments
Proven skills in root cause analysis
Ability to rapidly learn new technologies and adapt to evolving technical environments
Proficiency in troubleshooting IT issues across hardware, software, and network connectivity
Experience with macOS and Windows operating systems
Technical design and analysis skills and work in fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate successfully across technical and non-technical teams
Ability to work closely with technical partners and development teams to resolve issues and build strong working relationships
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality and operational standards

Preferred

Familiarity with immersive and emerging technologies such as AR/VR/XR, game engines, (e.g., Unity, Unreal), 3D modeling, and WebXR libraries is a plus
Experience with programming languages like JavaScript, C#, iOS and Android app development and support is a plus
