Systems Engineer II: Patriot Communications
Raytheon is a leading company in defense and aerospace, dedicated to helping nations and allies defend freedoms. They are seeking a Systems Engineer II to design and develop Air and Missile Defense communication systems, focusing on RF and IP Network experience.

Responsibilities
Design and optimize RF Networks, including link availability studies and capacity planning
Plan, implement and maintain network infrastructures (LAN, WAN, etc)
Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches and access points
Work with Cyber Security counterparts to ensure network security and performance optimization
Provide ongoing support to various Patriot Communication Systems around the world
Hands-on activities building Communication lab strings to support testing and troubleshooting
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
Experience in system design, development, integration/verification, production, and/or sustainment
Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain a Final Secret U.S. government issued security clearance after start
Preferred
Experience in Patriot Program (or similar program)
Certification in networking (e.g. CCNA, CCNP)
Experience with RF signal analysis and/or various VHF/UHF radios
Experience collaborating with internal and external customers
Experience writing reports and presenting information to internal and external stakeholders
