Responsibilities
Develop and enhance microservices-based applications using Java and Python
Build and deploy scalable, cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, etc.)
Support database design, optimization, and performance tuning using MySQL
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate systems that power omni-channel retail flows
Contribute to POS feature enhancements that improve in-store associate efficiency and customer experience
Participate in code reviews, debugging, and production issue troubleshooting
Learn and contribute to CI/CD pipelines, API development, and cloud engineering best practices
Create and maintain technical documentation; share learnings with the broader team
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing or recently completed a BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
Hands-on experience with Java and Python
Foundational understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
Familiarity with AWS cloud services and relational databases such as MySQL
Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Clear communication skills and a collaborative, team-first approach
Preferred
Exposure to retail, eCommerce, or omni-channel systems
Experience with cloud-native development, distributed systems, or event-driven architectures
Interest in data-driven systems, analytics, or AI-enabled decisioning within retail workflows
Prior internship, academic project, or hands-on experience building production-grade software
