Responsibilities
Support corporate litigation matters related to commercial and business activities
Manage arbitration and general commercial litigation cases from inception through resolution
Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate contractual, compliance, and financial risks
Provide legal guidance to business units on regulatory compliance and applicable laws
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and service agreements in support of transactions
Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks associated with trading, operations, and corporate activities
Represent the organization in legal proceedings and dispute resolution matters
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree required
Active license to practice law in New York or Connecticut
3–5 years of legal experience, preferably within commodities or financial services
Litigation experience required, including matters involving financial statements
Experience handling complex corporate and transactional legal issues
Strong working knowledge of financial statements in a legal or litigation context
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
