Responsibilities

Combine technical expertise with strong project leadership to drive successful AWS-based solution implementations
Apply AWS frameworks (Well-Architected, Cloud Adoption Framework) and multiple delivery methodologies (Agile, Scaled Agile, Waterfall, ITIL)
Distill customer needs into clear technical requirements, decompose complex problems, and make informed trade-off decisions
Validate technical solutions against business goals, participate in architectural reviews, and manage technical risks
Achieve and maintain relevant AWS certifications and develop domain-specific expertise (migration, database, healthcare, financial services)
Create and lead comprehensive project plans for teams spanning AWS, customer, and partner resources
Define and enforce delivery quality standards and engagement security protocols
Facilitate release planning, align outcomes, build executable roadmaps, and organize complex workstreams
Proactively identify and manage risks, resolve issues, escalate appropriately, and drive projects to successful completion
Redirect distressed programs to delight customers and accelerate progress by clearing blockers
Lead complex business and technical discussions, effectively communicating concepts to both technical and business audiences
Build strategic relationships with appropriate stakeholders and overcome customer obstacles
Build consensus, harmonize conflicting views, and drive resolution of contentious issues
Communicate data-driven decisions judiciously to leadership and customers
Identify and shape pre-sales opportunities
Establish new capabilities, tools, and delivery kits to promote efficiency and improve quality
Create mechanisms for faster, better technical and business decisions
Own root cause resolution of complex problems through Correction of Errors (COE) activities
Contribute to organizational strategic planning and executive governance frameworks
Simplify concurrent project delivery across team boundaries
Build teams that are stronger because of your presence but don't require it to succeed
Mentor others and develop as a thought leader in your domain
Help recruit top talent and participate in the interview process
Perform TPAs and provide feedback for promotions
Own, lead, and shape large and/or complex engagements to deliver business outcomes
Influence multiple external teams
Apply multiple delivery frameworks and develop comprehensive plans
Effectively communicate across diverse internal audiences
Impact organizational metrics
Lead the lifecycle of complex technical engagements
Accelerate progress by creating or optimizing cross-team processes
Establish operational excellence standards

Required

US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of cloud computing experience
Experience in project management of technical programs
5+ years of IT implementation experience
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

Preferred

1+ years of professional work experience, or experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings
Knowledge of AWS services
Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate
Experience applying AWS frameworks like Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework
Proven ability to establish technical credibility with engineering teams and senior technical decision-makers
Experience supporting National Security mission systems, and the ability to represent AWS within the customer's environment, driving discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management, and risk mitigation
Hold at least one active project management certification, understand the value proposition of the public cloud and has delivered cloud engagements, presented to C-level executives and technical subject matter experts, balanced multiple stakeholders, and managed projects with 10+ resources, 6+ months, or $250k+ in contract value
