California Department of State Hospitals is seeking an Analyst I to support the Education Department at Metropolitan State Hospital. The role involves performing various analytical tasks, including data collection, analysis, and reporting, while ensuring effective communication and organization within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Support the Education Department through a variety of routine and recurring analytical tasks
Administration and coordination of patient assessment testing
Timely and accurate data collection, analysis and inputting of data into state and federal databases
Organizing, filing, and maintaining student records in the Education Department
Preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end education and department reports
Organizing and presenting data to Sacramento
Completing and assisting with a variety of other projects as required including tracking and supporting special education
Demonstrate excellent organizational skills
Develop and analyze program evaluations
Develop systems to enhance accountability for vocational and educational projects, tasks, and reporting
Plan and perform timely execution of projects and tasks per Sacramento timelines
Provide guidance and staff training
Demonstrate expertise on MS Office applications specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
Master use of computer software
Communicate effectively, orally and in writing
Work well multi-tasking in a fast-paced ever changing, demoing reporting environment
Exhibit flexibility
Maintain tact and patience in dealing with staff within the department and hospital
Work independently while providing feedback
Be a positive, dependable self-starter with good attendance
Note: Position requires direct patient contact
