Responsibilities
Perform routine and non‑routine chemical evaluations of raw materials, in‑process samples, streams, and finished goods within the ISO 9001 quality system
Investigate sources of product non‑conformance and participate in auditing activities to ensure manufacturing quality
Record, interpret, and transmit analytical data accurately and on time, including data entry and usage decisions in SAP
Calibrate, standardize, and maintain laboratory instruments; identify and report malfunctions or repair needs
Conduct environmental monitoring, including sampling and post‑sampling handling, following established protocols
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment aligned with Chemical Hygiene requirements
Support test method development, data review, and continuous improvement activities within the lab
Communicate analytical findings and laboratory procedures effectively to lab technicians, process operators, and other stakeholders
Perform assigned duties during laboratory or plant emergencies while adhering to safety and environmental requirements
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a closely related scientific field
Familiarity with laboratory equipment, analytical methods, and chemical testing techniques
Ability to work independently in a laboratory setting while exercising good judgment
Strong verbal and written communication skills for sharing findings and procedures
Demonstrated potential for taking on additional responsibilities and learning new skills
Experience maintaining laboratory documentation and following established protocols
Ability to support environmental monitoring, instrument calibration, and data accuracy
Comfortable working rotating 12‑hour shifts with occasional overtime as needed
Reliable communication access via home or mobile phone (with voicemail)
Preferred
Experience developing or improving laboratory test methods
Prior involvement in non‑conformance investigations or quality audits
Ability to train others in basic laboratory techniques and procedures
