Equity & Engagement Aide
NEOGOV is part of the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District, and they are seeking an Equity & Engagement Aide. This role involves assisting programming staff with clerical work, customer service, and program preparation for various district-wide recreational programs, with a focus on equity and engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities
Answer the multi-line telephone and direct calls to appropriate personnel and take accurate messages
Provide information on the phone, or in person, in response to inquiries such as program schedules, district services, and other general information. Assist in scheduling of staff and observations of program participants and/or classes
Assist the general public with program enrollment by signing participants up for classes, receipting money and performing related registration procedures
Prepare and/or proofread a variety of forms, letters, flyers, reports, promotional materials, etc. from rough draft or detailed instruction. Perform data-entry. Research and collect data for special projects and reports
Research, purchase, inventory, and distribute program equipment and first aid supplies
Perform filing duties and operate standard office equipment, including computer, calculator, fax, and copier
Lead or assist in the monitoring and evaluation of program effectiveness in meeting established objectives; participate with management and community groups in developing program goals, policies and procedures; Maintain program records including program; prepare reports on program operations
Ensure the safety of program participants and if necessary, provide first aid. Prepare and submit accident/incident reports
Lead or assist with planning and coordination of meetings, special events and/or other programs
Maintain program records
Support the administration of the financial aid program by processing applications, maintaining patron communication, representing the program at outreach events, and delivering presentations to promote district resources
Provide support to the Equity & Engagement Department on special projects and programs, such as Centro de Bienvenida and initiatives that advance DEIA and Belonging
Qualification
Required
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, with specialized training in a related field
Three (3) years of general clerical experience, including public contact, and familiarity with programming area, preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish required. Must be comfortable reading, writing, and speaking in English and Spanish
Valid Oregon driver license and good driving record
Knowledge of office management principles and the ability to apply this knowledge to work problems
Basic understanding of application software and computer operations in a network environment
Business English, spelling, punctuation, letter writing, report preparation, record keeping, and mathematics
Working with and supporting individuals experiencing physical and/or developmental disabilities
Basic principles of supervision and staff development
Ability to correctly interpret and apply the policies and procedures of the function to which assigned
Ability to perform general clerical work including maintenance of appropriate records and compiling information for reports under minimal supervision
Ability to enter data at a speed and accuracy necessary for successful job performance
Ability to operate a variety of office equipment, including copy machine, phone system, computer, and calculator
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to maintain a neat, professional appearance
