Responsibilities

Provide expert legal counsel on toxic tort related matters
Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pre-litigation strategy, discovery, motions, and trial preparation
Represent clients in state and federal courts, arbitration, mediation, and other dispute resolution forums
Advise clients on risk management and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Negotiate settlements and work to resolve disputes in a cost-effective and timely manner
Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other correspondence
Develop strategies to prevent legal issues and minimize exposure for clients through proactive counsel
Stay up to date with changes in general liability to provide clients with current and effective legal advice

Qualification

Required

2+ years of experience in civil litigation
Proven ability to handle a full caseload in collaboration with attorneys and partners
Strong negotiation, communication, and writing skills
Experience in defending clients against employment-related claims, including discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and harassment
Ability to provide clear, concise, and practical legal advice to clients
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills
Licensed in CA in good standing

Preferred

J.D. from an accredited law school preferred
