Responsibilities
Provide strategic and functional leadership for the effective use of enrollment-related systems, data, and market intelligence in support of Sacramento State’s enrollment, retention, and student success goals
Translate enrollment management needs into actionable requirements, priorities, and use cases across the student lifecycle
Partner closely with Information Resources & Technology (IRT) and Institutional Research (IR) to ensure solutions are designed, implemented, and sustained through enterprise platforms and governed data environments
Provide enrollment domain leadership for customer relationship management (CRM) capabilities (including Technolutions Slate), business process design and improvement, and market research needs
Actively guide configuration, implementation, and optimization efforts to ensure that systems and workflows effectively support institutional priorities, equity goals, and long-term enrollment sustainability
Serve as a senior thought partner to Enrollment Management and campus leadership by translating enrollment strategy and operational needs into coordinated system, data, and workflow requirements
Actively collaborate with IRT, IR, and campus governance bodies throughout design, implementation, and optimization efforts
Support the prioritization of enhancements, ensure data quality and usability, and promote responsible, consistent use of enrollment data
Exercise delegated authority within Enrollment Management while operating within established campus technology, data governance, and security frameworks
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Higher Education Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Ten years of progressive experience leading enterprise systems, analytics, or enrollment technology initiatives in a complex organization
Experience with Technolutions Slate CRM platform and system integrations
Knowledge of enterprise systems thinking and integration
Knowledge of strategic use of data and analytics
Demonstrated ability to integrate institutional data, external market research, and competitive intelligence into actionable analyses that shape enrollment strategy and priorities
Knowledge of market research and competitive intelligence
Skills in cross-functional collaboration and communication
Skills in change management and continuous improvement
Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
Ability to serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership
Demonstrated diplomacy, sound judgment, and ability to navigate competing priorities while building trust and alignment among diverse stakeholders
Knowledge and understanding of data governance, security frameworks, and enterprise architecture
Ability to lead team, build and develop high-performing teams
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Commitment to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive work environment with diverse colleagues and constituents, including faculty, students, staff, and members of the community
Preferred
Master's degree in a related field
Experience in higher education enrollment management, admissions, financial aid, or student success operations
Demonstrated expertise in market research, enrollment forecasting, and data-informed strategy
Experience working within shared governance or enterprise IT environments
