Responsibilities
The Quality Inspector works under the supervision of the Quality Manager and is responsible for maintaining quality and manufacturing records
The Quality Inspector reviews records for completeness and works with Quality Engineering and Quality Assurance to correct discrepancies
The Quality Inspector stores records digitally in appropriate records retention locations and ERP system
Responsible for organizing records for customer review and collects data from Karman's Quality Management System
Qualification
Required
The Mechanical Inspector must be able to explain the respective role within the QMS and how their role contributes to quality
Must have some knowledge of AS9100
Must have excellent blueprint interpretation skills
Hand working inspection tool experience
Work with Program Managers to support inspection efforts
Must be detail oriented, extremely organized, must possess excellent communication skills, and be able to interact well with Customers and all levels of Management
To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
