Responsibilities
Partner directly with the Data Architect to evolve warehouse design, platform standards, and long-term data strategy
Evaluate and modernize existing EDW structures, redesigning components when necessary to improve scalability and performance
Implement and reinforce best practices surrounding governance, security, data quality, and platform optimization
Guide engineering teams in implementing architectural decisions while serving as a senior technical contributor when complexity demands
Translate business goals into technical data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and operational decision-making
Strengthen semantic modeling practices to improve consistency and usability across reporting and analytics platforms
Improve orchestration and transformation workflows within Azure Data Factory and related services
Ensure enterprise data assets align with governance, compliance, and operational performance expectations
Support ongoing EDW expansion initiatives and upcoming production launches across new subject areas
Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure delivered data structures properly support reporting and analytics consumption
Contribute technical leadership without direct management responsibilities
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in enterprise data warehousing, data engineering, or data platform solution delivery
Advanced SQL expertise across large and complex data environments
Hands-on experience building solutions within Databricks environments
Strong background using Azure Data Factory for data integration and orchestration
Practical experience designing and supporting dimensional and semantic data models
Demonstrated ability to align technical data solutions with business objectives
Experience working within large, complex enterprise environments
Ability to balance architecture collaboration with hands-on engineering execution
Preferred
Experience within healthcare or pharmaceutical organizations
Exposure to Snowflake environments or modernization initiatives
Experience contributing to enterprise data warehouse redesign or expansion programs
Familiarity with AI or machine learning data enablement initiatives
Experience supporting data governance or enterprise data quality programs
Exposure to modern lakehouse or medallion-style architectures
