Responsibilities
Mechanical design of custom heat exchangers and pressure vessels
Prepare detailed fabrication drawings, bill of materials, and design calculations
Apply ASME Section VIII and customer specifications (with review)
Coordinate with: Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Project management
Support design changes during fabrication
Improve and standardize: Drawing templates, calculation tools, and design workflows
Participate in root-cause reviews of design issues
Assist with quoting support (time permitting)
Qualification
Required
2–5 years mechanical design experience
Proficient in SolidWorks / Inventor / similar 3D CAD and manufacturing drawings
Exposure to pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, or heavy equipment
Comfortable working directly with a shop floor and manufacturing personnel
Learns fast and asks good questions
Organized and detail-oriented
Great balance of practical and theoretical
Comfortable with responsibility early
Preferred
ASME Section VIII experience
Heat exchanger experience
Experience in custom or job-shop manufacturing
