VP Product Development Revenue Optimization - Pharmacy

Fairview Pharmacy Solutions is seeking a Vice President of Product Development, Revenue Optimization to define, build, and scale their revenue optimization product portfolio. This role involves overseeing product strategy, governance, and commercialization to enhance revenue for health system specialty pharmacies in a complex regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end product strategy for revenue optimization, including accountability for portfolio performance and measurable financial outcomes
Partner closely with the CFO / EVP Strategy to prioritize investments, evaluate build/buy/partner decisions, and ensure ROI-driven portfolio management
Establish and maintain rigorous stage-gate governance for product development, commercialization readiness, and lifecycle management
Serve as the executive authority on product prioritization and trade-offs within the revenue optimization domain
Define and continuously evolve the product vision and multi-year roadmap for audit, recovery, and revenue optimization solutions
Translate reimbursement pressure, payer behavior, PBM practices, and audit complexity into differentiated product capabilities
Oversee product requirements, design authority, and works with product operations to ensure high-quality, timely delivery
Balance near-term client needs with long-term platform scalability and sustainability
Partner with Sales, Strategic Markets, and Client Delivery to enable successful go-to-market execution
Ensure pricing, packaging, and positioning are tightly aligned with product capabilities and customer value realization
Lead internal controlled launches, pilot programs, and readiness assessments prior to external commercialization as product development SME to adhere with the Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) process
Support strategic and enterprise sales efforts, including executive-level client engagements as needed
Leverage data, analytics, and automation to increase recovery yield, operational efficiency, and defensibility
Identify and develop bolt-on products or enhancements to expand wallet share and displace competitors (e.g., addressing known market gaps such as Inmar)
Monitor competitive landscape, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to inform proactive innovation
Participate in select conferences and industry forums to understand trends and opportunities and advance market awareness of the revenue optimization offerings
Build, lead, and scale a high-performing product organization focused on revenue optimization
Establish a product operating model that supports rapid iteration while maintaining enterprise-grade controls
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across cross-functional teams
Act as a thought partner to executive leadership on enterprise growth strategy and platform evolution

Required

B.S./B.A. In Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, Business or related field
10 years Progressive product leadership experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or healthcare technology
Demonstrated success delivering revenue optimization, audit, recovery, or financial performance solutions at scale
Deep understanding of pharmacy reimbursement, revenue cycle workflows, and payer/PBM dynamics
Strong analytical and financial acumen, including experience with data-driven decision-making
Proven ability to lead through influence in complex, matrixed organizations

Preferred

Advanced degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, Business or related field
Direct experience supporting health system specialty pharmacies
Experience commercializing analytics-driven or tech-enabled services
Background in environments requiring both startup-style execution and enterprise governance
