Responsibilities
Installing and adjusting belts in machinery using hand tools, tightening bolts, adjusting tension rolls, straightening parts, aligning rollers, correcting photo eyes, and replacing defective parts
Preparing and completing assigned and written work orders
Tightening, adjusting, removing, and adding links to conveyor chains as needed
Filling oilers, greasing axle mites, and lubricating chains
Checking/replacing air bladders and pads on live roller conveyors as needed
Checking lacing connections on flat belts
Replacing rollers on the conveyor lines as needed
Replace and track belts as needed
Working on the inclines of all pick modes to ensure they are working properly
Making sure all safety devices are functioning as they should
Performing preventive maintenance on the extended conveyors
Oil changes and air filters on air compressors
May also install, dismantle, or move machinery and heavy equipment according to plans
Working with management, staff members, and supporting the team where needed
Be aware of equipment and 480-volt power sources while working on equipment
Forklift, order picker, and boom lift operating experience is a plus
Qualification
Required
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with external and internal vendors
Maintain good attendance and punctuality
Effective communication skills
Typically requires 2-4 years of experience with 2-4 in semi-skilled work
High School Diploma and a valid MS Driver's License
Have experience with conveyor systems, including flat belt conveyors, live roller conveyor conveyors, belt over roller conveyors, and (truck loader) extend conveyors, factory, and/or automated production equipment
