Responsibilities
Support Case Managers and Litigation Paralegals with day-to-day case work, documentation and follow-through
Prepare case documents and forms using firm templates, ensuring accuracy and completeness prior to review
Assist with obtaining and organizing case materials such as police reports, incident reports, medical records, FOIL requests, and other supporting documentation
Review and notate medical records to understand treatment, timelines, and key facts relevant to the case
Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and help manage expectations
Coordinate case-related tasks such as scheduling, correspondence, and follow-ups
Handle routine insurance communications with appropriate oversight and escalate issues when necessary
Learn and apply foundational personal injury concepts including insurance coverage, no-fault, and lost wage claims
Take on increased responsibility over time with the goal of independently managing cases as a Case Manager
Qualification
Required
A compassionate, team-oriented mindset with a genuine interest in helping injured clients
The ability to work independently, think critically, ask thoughtful questions, and approach problems with curiosity
Strong technological and organizational skills, a willingness to learn new systems and processes
Clear and effective interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to remain composed, adaptable, and accountable in a fast-paced professional environment
At least one year of experience working in a professional office environment
Preferred
Prior experience as a legal assistant in plaintiff's personal injury or personal injury defense is helpful, but we are equally focused on aptitude, coachability, and long-term potential
