Responsibilities
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration)
Help patients move, transfer, and reposition safely
Observe and report changes in patients’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff
Maintain patient hygiene and comfort
Assist with medical procedures as directed by nurses
Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and well-stocked
Follow infection control, safety, and privacy regulations (HIPAA)
Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families
Accurately document care provided
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
Current CNA certification and registry in good standing
Ability to lift and move patients safely
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused attitude
Preferred
CPR/BLS certification
