Mechanical Engineering Intern
ANDREW, an Amphenol company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to help shape the future of connectivity. In this role, you will investigate product weight-reduction concepts and aerodynamic feature studies as part of the Base Station Antenna product design, working closely with design teams to develop high-performance antenna solutions.

Responsibilities
Researching and evaluating various mounting kit designs used in the BSA industry
Designing lightweight mounting kits for Andrew Base Station Antennas; creating 3D models and performing structural simulations
Developing and assessing weight-reduction proposals, including modeling, weight comparison, and structural analysis
Studying aerodynamic features applicable to Andrew products; modeling and optimizing designs using ANSYS CFD
Qualification
Required
Be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior or enrolled in Grad School at the time of the internship
Have a 3.0 GPA or higher in the U.S
Major in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field
Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD design and modeling software
Preferred
Have experience with mechanical structural simulation and ANSYS CFD analysis
Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective teamwork, and excellent interpersonal communication abilities
