Responsibilities

Oversee recruitment of study participants through both online and in-person outreach
Conduct risk screening for substance misuse and sexual health
Provide navigation to link clients to PrEP and other appropriate services
Assist clients in attaining their goals by locating community resources and making appropriate social service referrals both within and outside CAMBA
Assume primary responsibility for recruitment strategy and community engagement for P3 study, a partnership between CAMBA and Columbia University
Identify and engage venues, organizations, and individuals as recruitment partners for P3
Conduct recruitment activities 2-3 days per week
Design and execute on-line (Meta, TikTok, dating/hook-up apps, etc.) recruitment strategy to support doubling of enrollments in Year 2 of recruiting
Deliver peer navigation to enrolled P3 participants and other CAMBA clients
Prepare marketing materials for the program
Follow-up with clients and with referral organizations regarding client contact and progress with referral organization
In collaboration with program staff, work with clients to break through barriers to client goals and to assist clients in advocating for themselves and in moving toward self-sufficiency
Contact clients via telephone, mail and/or face-to-face home and office visits to ensure adherence to program, and document via progress notes
Escort clients to appointments (educational, medical, social service, etc.)
Provide all required information for weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports
Create and maintain client files and make copies of all client documents
Conduct pre- and post-intervention assessments of clients’ knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors regarding HIV risk
Prescreen clients over the telephone for eligibility and may schedule intake appointments
Assist clients in completing all CAMBA intake applications and forms
Schedule appointments for client with referral organizations
Input client data and client progress information into automated database
Contact clients for 30- and 90-day follow-up surveys

Required

Experience in recruitment and community engagement
Ability to conduct risk screening for substance misuse and sexual health
Experience in providing navigation to link clients to PrEP and other appropriate services
Strong communication skills for conducting outreach both online and in-person
Ability to prepare marketing materials for programs
Experience in following up with clients and referral organizations
Ability to assist clients in breaking through barriers to their goals
Experience in documenting client progress and maintaining client files
Ability to conduct pre- and post-intervention assessments
Experience in prescreening clients for eligibility
Ability to assist clients in completing intake applications and forms
Experience in scheduling appointments with referral organizations
