Patient Access Specialist

The Patient Access Specialist (PAS) serves as the first point of contact for patients, handling registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and patient intake while delivering a high level of customer care.
Responsibilities
Register and schedule patients for appointments
Verify insurance and demographic information
Collect and update patient records in electronic systems
Answer inbound patient calls and provide appointment or billing support
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
Deliver professional and empathetic service to all patients
Qualification
Required
1+ year of healthcare, medical office, call center, or patient service experience
Strong communication and attention to detail
Comfortable using multiple computer systems
Ability to work onsite and on assigned shifts
Preferred
Familiarity with patient registration, insurance, or healthcare systems preferred
Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates may be preferred but are not yet confirmed
