Responsibilities
Follow established directions and procedures for software delivery tasks including development, testing, and deployment
Deliver assigned work while seeking guidance from experienced team members
Proactively request and participate in code reviews
Understand end‑to‑end logical architecture of systems within ownership areas
Provide suggestions for process and system improvements
Apply organizational technology policies in day‑to‑day tasks
Participate in knowledge‑sharing activities through engineering community initiatives
Engage in the full lifecycle of services including design, deployment, operation, and refinement
Analyze ITSM activities and provide feedback to development teams regarding operational gaps and resiliency
Support pre‑launch activities including system design reviews and capacity planning
Maintain live services through monitoring availability, latency, health metrics, and automated alerting
Scale systems sustainably through automation and advocate for improvements that increase reliability and delivery speed
Practice effective incident response and contribute to postmortem analysis
Diagnose production issues holistically by analyzing multiple layers of the technology stack
Collaborate with a global team across time zones
Share knowledge and mentor junior engineers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Experience with algorithms, data structures, scripting, pipeline management, and software design
Strong problem‑solving skills, excellent communication, and a clear sense of ownership
Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks
Experience navigating challenging operational situations with urgency and sound decision‑making
Experience with Python, Go, or Bash scripting
Interest in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems
Ability to work across development, operations, and product teams to establish strong relationships
Experience with Git/BitBucket, Jenkins/XLR, Chef, Splunk, and Dynatrace
Experience designing and implementing effective CI/CD flows with minimal manual effort
