Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for leading revenue recognition and payroll accounting processes, ensuring accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant reporting, and supporting month-end close and audits.

Responsibilities

Lead revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP (ASC 606)
Review contracts including digital sales, licensing, royalties, and work-for-hire
Prepare and review revenue schedules, deferrals, accruals, and journal entries
Reconcile revenue accounts and investigate variances
Support internal and parent company revenue reporting
Oversee payroll journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
Partner with HR and payroll providers to ensure accurate processing
Allocate payroll expenses by department and project
Support 401(k) and benefits-related accounting
Support monthly and quarterly close processes
Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations
Perform variance analysis for revenue and payroll accounts
Support internal and external audits
Maintain accounting policies and internal controls

Qualification

Required

Detail-oriented to ensure accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant reporting
Support month-end close and audits
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Business Development, HR, and external partners
Lead revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP (ASC 606)
Review contracts including digital sales, licensing, royalties, and work-for-hire
Prepare and review revenue schedules, deferrals, accruals, and journal entries
Reconcile revenue accounts and investigate variances
Support internal and parent company revenue reporting

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
8+ years of accounting experience
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, especially ASC 606
Payroll accounting experience
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with NetSuite and payroll systems preferred
