Responsibilities
Lead technical discovery, solution design, and estimation during sales pursuits
Serve as the technical lead in client presentations and proposal development
Translate business goals into scalable, pragmatic architecture roadmaps
Act as a long-term technical advisor to client stakeholders
Own architectural decisions for complex commerce implementations
Partner with Product to sequence work, reduce technical risk, and maximize value
Translate high-level architecture into clear, executable plans for delivery teams
Manage and mentor Senior Engineers and Architects
Conduct performance reviews and support career development
Support hiring through technical interviews and architectural assessments
Elevate team standards through hands-on leadership and mentorship
Qualification
Required
8+ years in software engineering with architecture leadership
Proven people management experience
3+ years in an agency or professional services environment
Client-facing experience in scoping, estimation, and technical sales support
Strong expertise in React, Next.js (App Router), TypeScript, and the Vercel ecosystem
Preferred
First-principles problem solver
Strong people leader with a growth mindset
Pragmatic and business-oriented decision maker
Able to influence executives while maintaining credibility with engineers
