Manufacturing Engineer I - Assembly
Scalence L.L.C. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I - Assembly to provide assembly ME support and basic troubleshooting for current operations at John Deere Commercial Products. The role involves driving improvement projects and supporting the implementation of new products while ensuring safety and efficiency in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
Drive improvement projects positively impact Safety, Quality, Cost, and Efficiency with Natural Work Group and operator engagement
Support implementation of new products and manage ECN/CI change control for current production
Research, initiate, and execute safety and ergonomic improvement activities and projects
Rigorously execute assembly process audits
Lead the analysis, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology
Plan, coordinate, and perform manufacturing engineering work for projects or processes of moderate scope, or for significant portions of major, diverse projects
Assign, coordinate, and review work completed by support personnel, including contractors
Develop and maintain routings, methods, layouts, tooling, cost estimates, standard work documentation, quality plans, and labor standards for new or revised operations
Provide day to day support and troubleshooting for current operations
Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify and implement effective solutions
Identify, innovate, and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvements
Utilize electronic tools across a wide range of applications, including e builds, modeling, and simulations
Develop and implement lean manufacturing improvements in alignment with the Deere Production System
Design operations layouts and drive improvements in material flow and part presentation
Lead team studies related to capacity, energy usage, productivity, and efficiency
Lead the development, analysis, and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technologies
Analyze and modify existing performance pay plans; assist in developing baseline data for new plans
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering /technology discipline or equivalent work experience
Plan, coordinate, and perform manufacturing engineering work for projects or processes of moderate scope, or for significant portions of major, diverse projects
Assign, coordinate, and review work completed by support personnel, including contractors
Develop and maintain routings, methods, layouts, tooling, cost estimates, standard work documentation, quality plans, and labor standards for new or revised operations

Preferred
Experience with John Deere specific manufacturing software JDAAT (John Deere Assembly Assist Tool), MPP (Manufacturing Process Planner)
Experience implementing changes in a production environment through negotiation and conflict resolution
Experience with SAP, PDM, CREO, Auto CAD
Experience with line design, DLBT, time study, line balance, and cost/pay structure
