Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and direction to the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence
Develop and execute a roadmap for the technical evolution of our ATS exchange platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements
Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-performance trading systems and infrastructure to support the efficient execution of alternative asset trades
Collaborate with compliance, legal, and regulatory teams to ensure platform compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
Drive initiatives to enhance platform security, reliability, and scalability, leveraging best practices and emerging technologies
Partner with product management, operations, and other stakeholders to prioritize and deliver features and enhancements that drive user adoption and satisfaction
Recruit, mentor, and develop top engineering talent, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth
Establish and maintain effective processes, tools, and methodologies for software development, quality assurance, and deployment
Lead complex cross-functional programs from concept through launch, including scope definition, resource planning, risk management, and delivery of key milestones across multiple product and platform initiatives
Implement and operate a structured program management framework (OKRs, roadmaps, dependency tracking, status reviews) to ensure alignment between engineering, product, operations, and compliance
Own executive-ready status, risk, and decision reports for the full engineering portfolio, providing clear, concise dashboards and narratives tailored for the CEO, Board, and other senior stakeholders
Drive a disciplined cadence of executive reporting (weekly summaries, monthly business reviews, quarterly board updates) with clear indicators of progress, risks, and mitigations
Coordinate and manage work across globally distributed teams, including engineering and product teams located in India, ensuring effective collaboration, handoffs, and follow-the-sun execution
Develop communication norms, overlapping hours, and collaboration practices to support high-performing hybrid teams across U.S. and India time zones, including occasional travel as needed

Required

Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Proven track record of leadership and success in building and scaling high-performance engineering teams in the financial services industry, with experience in trading systems or exchanges preferred
Deep understanding of financial markets, trading technologies, compliance, and regulatory requirements, particularly in the context of alternative assets
Extensive experience in software development, architecture, and system design, with expertise in low-latency, high-throughput trading systems
Strong knowledge of modern software development methodologies, tools, and best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence decision-making
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analyze complex problems, and make data-driven decisions
7+ years of hands-on program management or large-scale delivery leadership experience in technology or fintech environments, driving multi-team initiatives from roadmap through execution
Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining executive-level reporting (dashboards, KPIs, portfolio views, board materials) that enable swift, informed decision-making
Proven ability to translate complex technical and regulatory topics into clear, concise updates for C‑level executives and non-technical stakeholders
Prior experience leading or closely partnering with engineering teams located in India, including managing distributed teams, aligning priorities across regions, and optimizing for different time zones and cultures
Strong cultural awareness and adaptability, with a track record of building trust and high performance in global, remote-first organizations

Preferred

Experience working in the financial technology (fintech) industry or with alternative trading systems is a plus
