Responsibilities
Works with Project Engineering department to ensure the reliability & maintainability of new and modified installations
The Reliability Engineer is responsible for adhering to the Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM) process throughout the entire life cycle of new & old assets
Participate in the development of design & installation specifications along with commissioning plans
Be part of the development of criteria for & evaluation of equipment & technical MRO suppliers & technical maintenance service providers
Be part of the final check out of new installations
Guides efforts to ensure reliability & maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, & safety/security systems
Professionally and systematically define, design, develop, monitor and refine an Asset Maintenance Plan
Provides input to a Risk Management Plan that will anticipate reliability-related, & non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operation
Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures & all other problems that adversely affect plant operations
Work with Production to perform analyses of assets including, asset utilization, overall equipment effectiveness, remaining useful life & other parameters that define operating condition, reliability & costs of assets
Provides technical support to production, maintenance management & technical personnel
Provide process engineering support for required equipment upgrades &/or modifications & champion these efforts including writing and directing all change control activities/ deviations as required by our Quality Systems, OSHA etc
Direct & or assist in the design & execution of all capital projects assigned
Create purchase requisitions, submit for approval & manage budgets
Train SMEs in problem solving techniques
Prepare annual evaluation & operational assessment reports of critical systems & equipment for review & final approval
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of experience as reliability engineering/maintenance experience in cGMP, pharmaceutical/biological manufacturing environment including experience with process equipment (pumps, centrifuges, refrigeration, fluid flow)
Preferred
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred
