Corporate Counsel

Pursuit Collection is a dynamic, publicly traded company in the hospitality industry, seeking a Corporate Counsel to join their Legal team. The role involves supporting a wide range of legal needs, including contract review and negotiation, corporate governance, risk management, and M&A activities.

Responsibilities

Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts, including sales agreements, vendor agreements, non-disclosure agreements, lease agreements, and waivers
Conduct legal research and provide practical, business-focused advice
Help manage outside counsel relationships, including coordinating matters and reviewing invoices
Assist with development of internal processes and templates to drive consistency and scalability / Assist in preparing and filing business licenses, permits, and other regulatory filings
Support corporate governance by maintaining entity records, filing required documentation, and assisting with board communications and meeting logistics
Provide support with Pursuit’s M&A activity in coordination with senior legal leadership and outside counsel
Review and assist with handling guest liability waivers, and risk management issues
Partner and collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate legal risk associated with guest experiences and hospitality operations

Required

Must have a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Current Active bar membership and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
4-8+ years of relevant legal experience, including in-house experience and/or experience advising operating businesses (hospitality, consumer, retail, or service industries preferred)
Broad legal skillset with experience across commercial contracts, corporate matters, and general business law
Experience supporting or working within a publicly traded company is strongly preferred
Exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, and discretion with confidential information
Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal audiences
Business-minded, balancing legal risk with practical, solutions-focused support
Effective problem-solver with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Collaborative and trusted partner, building credibility through follow-through and clear communication
Adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable navigating diverse legal issues
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred

Experience supporting or working within a publicly traded company is strongly preferred
Exposure to M&A transactions and corporate governance matters is a plus
