Responsibilities
Apply broad knowledge of architectural principles and best practices across diverse project types
Function effectively within multi-disciplinary teams across GMC’s regional offices
Lead technical development and documentation for projects of moderate complexity or portions of major projects
Understand and participate in the full project lifecycle: planning, design, documentation, and construction
Design and detail complete projects, systems, or components with a high level of technical rigor
Prepare and coordinate complete construction documents, including consultant coordination and Project Manuals/Specifications
Independently manage time and workload to meet project schedules
Uphold professional, ethical, and quality standards
Conduct site visits, field investigations, and existing-conditions assessments
Produce construction documents in Revit
Participate in client, contractor, and consultant communications
Respond to RFIs, review shop drawings, and support construction administration
Collaborate with leadership on opportunities to strengthen client relationships and expand local market presence
Qualification
Required
3+ years of professional architectural experience
Bachelor or Master of Architecture from an accredited program
Architectural licensure strongly preferred; unlicensed candidates must be actively pursuing licensure
Proficient in Revit and strong technical skills in detailing, consultant coordination, and construction documentation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Valid driver's license and ability to travel for project needs
Must be local to the Charlotte area
In-office collaboration Monday–Thursday, with remote flexibility on Fridays
