Responsibilities
Support maintenance and engineering teams in maintenance management and improving equipment and systems
Learn and provide hands-on experience in maintenance processes, preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and safety practices
Understand and assist with improving routine maintenance and repairs checklists
Assist with data entry of maintenance shift reports findings and update equipment logs and maintenance software
Apply basic principles of mechanical electrical and automation systems
Learning port equipment troubleshooting and help eliminate repetitive breakdowns and analyzing equipment malfunctions to improve reliability
Work and learn from an experienced team of mechanics, storekeepers and other departments efficiently
Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives
Other learning ad hoc projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Eligible to work in the U.S
Education – actively enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree program at a University/College with a STEM focus (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline is preferred)
Collaboration – Effective verbal and written communication skills
Functional Excellence – Good organizational skills and ability to follow directions
Preferred
Control systems or robotics design experience
Maintenance experience
Hands-on mechanical or electrical experience
Passion for engineering and troubleshooting
Programming & PC computer literacy (including experience with Microsoft Office Suite)
