Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain embedded firmware for real-time motor control, sensing, and system monitoring
Debug complex system-level issues where root cause may span software, firmware, hardware, or component behavior
Use hardware debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and DMMs to diagnose timing, signaling, and electrical issues
Act as a technical bridge between hardware and software, collaborating closely with EEs, controls, motion planning, and systems engineers
Advise leadership on technical decisions and strategy
Mentor and advise other engineers as well as peers on technical and personal advancement
Drive technical decision making and implementation through hands-on and technically deep work
Qualification
Required
5+ years working in complex environments
Strong technical background
Experience with embedded firmware for real-time motor control, sensing, and system monitoring
Ability to debug complex system-level issues where root cause may span software, firmware, hardware, or component behavior
Proficiency in using hardware debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and DMMs
Experience with MCUs: STM32
Proficiency in programming languages: C / C++
Experience with RTOS: FreeRTOS or similar
Familiarity with supporting systems: Linux host OS, NodeJS / TypeScript, Docker
Experience with tooling: GitHub Actions, CI/CD
Clarity of Communication: excel in written and verbal communication
