Arboriculture Intern (Nauvoo, IL)
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is offering exciting internship opportunities in historic Nauvoo, IL, starting in April. This internship will work alongside our professional Arborist in caring for trees at the Nauvoo Historic Sites, engaging in hands-on tasks aimed at preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of these sacred locations.

Responsibilities
Duties may include but are not limited to work in landscaped and forested areas including:
Pruning
Trail maintenance
Invasive species control
Chainsaw work (and use of other related tools)
Responsibilities may vary by assignment depending on team needs and includes:
Some routine cleaning and minor maintenance of buildings
Receive assignments from supervising staff, primarily the staff arborist
Meet rigid and challenging deadlines, work in harmony with other people, take direction on each assignment, and give full attention to detail
Qualification
Required
Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation
Must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter
Must have a vehicle and a current driver's license
Must be able to obtain a sound judgment of Church doctrine, history, organization, policy and protocol
Ability to lift and move 50 lbs
Maintain a positive and helpful attitude while working with staff, missionaries, and visitors
